Leading with Innovation: Cleaveland/Price Recognized as Chamber Champion for the Month of February!

The Westmoreland County Chamber of Commerce was honored and proud to recognize Cleaveland/Price Inc. as our February Chamber Champion — a monthly recognition nominated and voted on by fellow business and company owners to celebrate an organization that is making a meaningful economic impact in our community and beyond.

Founded in 1975 by Charles Cleaveland, Cleaveland/Price began in a basement in North Huntingdon manufacturing renewal parts for discontinued Westinghouse switches. From those humble beginnings, the company has grown into a 200,000-square-foot headquarters on 17 acres in Trafford, employing over 400 skilled workers and serving customers across the United States and internationally.
Cleaveland/Price manufactures high-voltage switches, custom-engineered switching solutions, smart grid motor operators, and real-time power monitoring sensors — all made locally at their Trafford facility and supported by a dedicated team of engineers focused on research, development, and continuous improvement.

Their philosophy remains simple yet powerful, Employees first. Customers second. Profit third. As a clear example of this mindset, Cleaveland/Price is investing in their employees – Construction is currently underway to build a larger, new parking lot and building with the goal to reach 500 employees by the end of 2026.

The continued success of Carl Heller and his leadership have played a significant role in the company’s sustained growth and innovation. With deep operational experience and a forward-thinking vision, Carl has helped guide ongoing investments in research and development, facility expansion, and workforce growth — ensuring Cleaveland/Price remains a premier high-voltage switch engineering and manufacturing firm.

The Westmoreland County Board of Commissioners recently recognized Cleaveland/Price for exemplifying both the heritage and forward momentum of our region’s manufacturing sector — an industry employing more than 17,600 people locally and generating $1.3 billion in annual wages.

Cleaveland/Price’s story is one of innovation, resilience, strong leadership, and unwavering commitment to employees and customers alike.
Congratulations again to our February Chamber Champion — thank you for continuing to make a difference in Westmoreland County and beyond!
